Become the hunter or the hunted in Evolve, the now-free-to-play asymmetric shooter from Turtle Rock Studios and 2K that pits four players against one monster in pulse-pounding action. Play as one of four hunter classes — trapper, support, assault, or medic — or become the ultimate killing machine and pick off your puny human prey one by one.

Survive the harsh alien jungle, which contains its own unique hazards, as well as your opposition. As humans, you need to work together; as the monster, you’ll want to take the time to level up so you can stealthily pick off your prey, one by one. Level up to add to your power as either a hunter or monster, and display your ferocity for all to see on the game’s leaderboards.

  1. Nope, the game’s dead. I downloaded it 5 days ago and every day I dedicated 3 hours between 5 and 8pm central to matchmaking…no matches made. It’s a ghost town.

  2. It’s certainly not perfect but for free I think it’s a pretty decent game that can even work out if they play their cards right. Most of the hate towards this game comes from those who played it before “Stage 2” and even though I haven’t played it the criticism it received then was completely justified I think. But I think we should give Evolve a second chance to prove itself as a good game. Currently the game is a bit lacking but there is nothing some good feedback and polishing can’t fix.
