What’s explosive about it:
Lots of Destruction
Stylized Visuals
Variety of cars

Ridge Racer Driftopia is a highly stylized arcade style racer published by Namco. Ridge Racer Driftopia combines the feeling of old high octane racing games like Rush with the modern destruction of games like Burnout. Players compete to set the best time on each track while racing against the “ghosts” of other player’s cars. Compete for the best times while racking up drift points and deconstruction in order to score more cars and upgrade your existing ones.

During each race, players must drift and destroy as much as possible in order to fill up their boost meter. This meter is used to gain a temporary boost in speed while knocking other less fortunate racers out of the race. Once a player knocks out a car, he can then challenge the car once he levels up in order to score a chance at winning the car. Players can also gain new cars by purchasing random packs of them in the store.

Both Players and their cars level up in Driftopia, with players gaining access to new tracks and car upgrades respectively. If a player happens to wreck his vehicle during a race, they must use repair points in order to repair his vehicle and restart the race. If the player chooses not to repair his vehicle, the vehicle will be permanently destroyed. Repair points are earned after each successful race and through random rewards.

  1. Jeez, RR on the PS Vita was a travesty but this is a new low. If I wanted to throw my money into a black hole, I’d go to a damn arcade.

  2. this game is strongly pay to play, i just downloaded it and deleted it both on a single day cz i got no money to repair my car srsly, you need to pay for the repairs and you got crashed as easily as when you play burnout
