Battlerite Officially Launches, Is Now Fully Free-To-Play
In a world where games are in beta forever, it's nice to see a company communicate its progress toward launch to its players -- and then fulfill its promises right on schedule.
Today, Stunlock Studios' Battlerite officially launches, exiting early access and going free-to-play for everyone. That matches up nicely with Stunlock's earlier statements regarding a "late 2017 release" and right on target for its promised Nov. 8 launch date.
Free players can take advantage of a rotating set of six champions every week. You can buy champions individually, or shell out for the Champion's Pack to get access to all 22 of the game's champions, as well as future champions, for $29.99. You can even pick up a free champion right now, courtesy of MMOBomb.
For more on Battlerite, head to the game's website or download it on Steam. And while it's a little old, and changes have undoubtedly been made in the meantime, you can get a feel for the game before you decide to play by checking out our First Look from last summer. Battle on!
